Even with the numbers being surprisingly low this year with only 12 sup racers in the long course (think that had something to do with the move to Sunday due to weather) there was still a fun time had by all. Regardless of the numbers this race was a HUGE success for the only reason that matters and that is how much money they raised for Operation Second Chance, a non-profit organization dedicated to serving wounded veterans and their families as they recover and transition back to active duty or civilian life. I don’t know the final total but I was told it was over 50k which is pretty damn awesome!!
Great job to the crew and organizers who put on this event.
