Great turnout again at this years Paddle Second Chance. The conditions were a little sloppy but much better then they would have been on Saturday, it was a great call by the organizers to move this. Better safe they sorry
What makes this event so special though is the cause and the passion from the organizers about the cause. Operations Second Chance is a great cause to support, you can learn more about it here
“Operation Second Chance is a grass roots non-profit organization comprised of passionate citizens dedicated to help injured war heroes transition back to active duty or civilian life. OSC’s purpose is pure of heart and is predominantly supported by volunteer workers. Their audited overhead rating validates that 90% of the funds raised go directly to wounded veterans and their families. Since 2005, OSC has provided over $2,900,000 in support to our wounded heroes including veterans and their families in Sussex County Delaware.
All the above was provided with dignity and love for those who have suffered and sacrificed so that we “paddle” in freedom.”
