1st Annual Bay Bridge Paddle brought to you by

Leinenkugel’s Summer Shandy!

Water enthusiasts of all ages and expertise are invited to paddle Stand-Up Paddle Boards, Kayaks, Canoes, and Irish Curragh.

With over $7,000.00 in PRIZE MONEY and PRODUCTS being awarded, there will be something for just about everyone at every level.  We will be awarding prize money across a multitude of categories with something for the elite paddler as well as the novice paddler.

If you are an elite paddler and ready for a challenge, we invite you to participate in the 8.4 mile race across the breathtaking Chesapeake Bay.  You will paddle your way underneath the magnificent Bay Bridge, which is one of the world’s longest over-water structures!  Paddling under this bridge is truly a unique opportunity.

For the less experienced paddler and those that want to try paddling for the first time, we will offer a 5K paddle as well as a novice slalom course (for kids and adults) closer the beach area.  There will be other fun events as well to entertain paddlers of all expertise levels!

In addition to a commemorative T-shirt, every race participant will receive a complimentary carb-loaded breakfast to help get you energized for the race.  In addition, when you return from the race and are ready to refuel, you will also receive a complimentary delicious, fresh, healthy lunch package.  (Breakfast sponsored by Naval Bagels and lunch provided by Fresh Market)  There will be other breakfast and lunch food items for sale for all attendees during the event.

Celebration and awards will be held immediately following the event at Sandy Point or at convenient location nearby.

The event will benefit many local charities including the Foundation for Community Betterment www.communitybetterment.org and the Maryland Special Olympics.
